Get on board for this fun long weekend of singing in the Blue Mountains with the extraordinary talent of Eric Dozier, (Nashville, USA). 

We will be starting the journey in Sydney's Central Station and aim to take over a whole carriage or two and sing our way out of Sydney and up that Mountain! 

This special extended weekend workshop starts early Friday afternoon and finishes Monday morning. The weekend includes several hours of singing, a little time for exploring the spectacular Blue Mountains and warming yourself by an open fire at The Carrington (optional) and the treat of a High Tea at the grand and glorious Hydro Majestic.  We will take part in a concert on Sunday evening with Eric and local performer (TBA).

The Programme including train 

Friday 20th, July 

1:40 pm All aboard the train from Central Station to Katoomba, NSW. Meet at Blue Mountains line platform at 1:40 for 2:11pm train. The platform number information will be confirmed closer to time.

4:30 pm Arrive at Metropole Hotel (Short walk of approx. 5mins to Hotel) 

[Grab an early dinner near the hotel.]

7:00pm Meet and greet with full group at Metropole Hotel

7:15 - 9:15pm Workshop with Eric Dozier

Saturday 21st, July

10:00 - 12:30 Workshop (with tea break)

1:25pm: Departure from Katoomba Station to Medlow Bath (7min journey) and short walk to Hydro Majestic for a High Tea (lunch)

Singing at Station and outside on balcony at Hydro Majestic overlooking the spectacular valley (weather permitting).

3:31pm Train to Katoomba

4:30 - 6:30 Workshop at Metropole

[Optional: Join us for pre-dinner drinks at the Carrington Hotel]

Sunday 22nd, July

10:00 - 12:30 Workshop (with tea break)

[Free time for lunch and to explore Katoomba]

3:30 - 5:00pm Workshop/rehearsal at Metropole

[Grab an early dinner near the hotel.]

7:00 - 9:00pm  Concert at Metropole Hotel

Monday 23rd, July 

11:14am: Returning from Katoomba Station to Central Station, Sydney arriving at 1:19pm 

The train rides are optional, however we highly recommend you join us for this fun part of the adventure. 

A song or two will be sent to you to learn before meeting up at the station.

    We do not require single travellers to pay a surcharge for travelling alone, we will arrange for you to share accommodation with another traveller of the same gender and if we can not match you up we will provide a single room at no extra charge. If you would like a guarantee of a single room a single supplement is payable.

About Eric Dozier 

Eric is a gospel music educator from Nashville, TN, USA, a cultural activist, musician, and father.  He is committed to assisting communities in developing creative, transformative platforms from which to launch dynamic acts of service to humanity by exploring the confluence of music, community, education and activism. 

Eric has traveled the world for the last 20 years working with choirs, community groups and schools performing and conducting workshops which focus on the history and significance of African American musical traditions particularly those that are centered around group singing.

Through his role as co-founder and National Director of Arts and Education for One Human Family Workshops, Inc., Eric set out to devote his musical, spiritual, and intellectual talents to eradicating social, religious, racial, gender, and cultural discrimination. Through heart-stirring gospel music and traditional spirituals, dynamic speeches, historical presentations, and interactive music workshops he has dedicated himself to welding the hearts and minds of a divided humanity into one loving fellowship. During this time he also served as the musical director for the World Famous Harlem Gospel Choir and the award-winning Children’s Theatre Company of NYC. Through these collaborations, he has been honored to share the stage with the likes of Harry Belafonte, Angelique Kidjo, Raffi, and even Nelson Mandela; he has been afforded the opportunity to work with various producers such as renowned Canadian composer Jack Lenz ( Nanaland, Passion of the Christ) and K.C. Porter (Santana, Ricky Martin).
